In the second match of the evening Oberlin would face Quinter. Just three days prior in pool play of the NWKL tournament the Bulldogs defeated the Red Devils 2-1, where they would ultimately go on to be the runner-ups in the tournament. In the first Quinter would jump out to a 5-1 lead before the Red Devils would rally back to tie the match and each teams would trade points the rest of the match. The Bulldogs at that point would go on a 5-1 run to win the second set 26-24.
