The Oberlin Red Devil volleyball team protected their home court and kept their flawless record intact Tuesday night, sweeping Northwest Kansas League rivals Rawlins County, Dighton, and Quinter at the Oberlin Quad.
Oberlin set the tone early in their opening match, making quick work of Rawlins County in straight sets, 25-14, 25-13.
The momentum carried into a hard-fought second match against Dighton. After taking a tight first set 25-23 and dropping the second 25-17, the Red Devils answered with absolute dominance in the deciding set, blowing past Dighton 25-10.
The night concluded with a three-set thriller against Quinter. Oberlin edged out the first set 26-24 before dropping the second 25-16. Refusing to let their win streak slip, the Red Devils rallied in a high-intensity third set to secure a 25-23 victory and complete the quad sweep.
Now sitting at 5-0 on the season, Oberlin turns its attention to next week’s triangular in Sharon Springs. The Red Devils are set to take on Wallace County and Rawlins County, with first serve scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Central Time.
