LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas baseball’s Brady Ballinger and Jackson Hauge were both named All-Americans this week by various publications. Ballinger received a Second Team All-American honor from NCBWA on Wednesday and a Third Team All-American recognition from Perfect Game on Tuesday. Hauge was voted a Third Team All-American by NCBWA on Wednesday.

Ballinger and Hauge are the first Kansas teammates to receive All-American honors in the same season since Josh Kliner and Issac Byrd in 1996. The last Kansas player to be awarded All-American status was Tony Thompson in 2009.

The duo of Ballinger and Hauge were also ABCA/Rawlings Central All-Region recipients on Tuesday. Ballinger earned a spot on the First Team, while Hauge was placed on the Second Team. The last time two Kansas players received All-Region recognition in the same season was Ryan Baty and Kevin Wheeler in 2003.

Ballinger finished the season leading the team in batting average (.353), walks (56), slugging percentage (.670), on-base percentage (.495), runs scored (71), hits (79), doubles (21), total bases (150) and multi-hit games (24). His 71 runs were second most in school history, his 56 walks tied for second in program history and his 150 total bases were the sixth most ever in a season by a Jayhawk. Ballinger also ended the season with 12 more walks than strikeouts.

In the regular season, Ballinger was first in the Big 12 in walks, tied for first in runs scored and doubles, second in on-base percentage, slugging percentage and total bases, fourth in batting average and hits and seventh in home runs. The Las Vegas, Nevada, native had 16 home runs in 2025, which tied for the fifth most in program history.

An All-Big 12 First Team selection and a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, Ballinger started the season by reaching base safely and scoring a run in each of the first 19 games.

Hauge’s decision to attend Kansas for his final year of eligibility paid off. This season, Hauge transformed into one of the biggest power threats and run producers in college baseball. Hauge made the jump from Division II to Division I after not playing college baseball in 2024.

The Ramsey, Minnesota, native hit a Big 12-leading 20 home runs this season and drove in 70 RBIs, which was the second most in the conference. The 20 home runs were one shy of tying the school record for home runs in a season and his 70 RBIs rank fourth in program history. Hauge also had 143 total bases, which was fifth most in the Big 12 and tied for seventh in school history. He led the team with 19 multi-RBI games.

Ballinger and Hauge are the 15th and 16th All-Americans in school history and the 26th and 27th ABCA All-Region honorees.

Kansas finished the 2025 season with a 43-17 overall record to make its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014 in one of the most historic years in school history. The Jayhawks set program records in regular season wins (42), Big 12 wins (20), conference wins (20), conference series wins (seven), conference series sweeps (five), road wins (20), come-from-behind wins (26) and home runs (104).
