Responding to the critical need for comprehensive behavioral health support, the Community Hospital Health Foundation allocated funds to acquire cutting-edge medication storage equipment for the Community Hospital Behavioral Health Department. This investment aims to bolster resources and facilitate the safe management of medications crucial for various behavioral health and substance abuse medical management treatments.

The acquisition of state-of-the-art medication storage technology underscores the hospital’s commitment to providing holistic care and meeting the evolving healthcare needs of the community. Enhanced medication storage capabilities will play a pivotal role in supporting behavioral health and substance abuse treatment protocols.
“Behavioral health and substance abuse treatment is tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Medications are one tool in our arsenal, and depending on the individual’s circumstances, they may be necessary to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life” stated Cathy Jibben, Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner at Community Hospital. “By investing in medication storage equipment we can safely provide additional medication management for a wider range of services to deliver effective, comprehensive care while prioritizing patient safety.”

Staffed by a dedicated team comprising Cathy Jibben, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; Tanya Lutz, Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner; Karla Lipska, Behavioral Health Technician; and Allison Cappel, Behavioral Health Nurse, Community Hospital Behavioral Health operates Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, ensuring accessible care for individuals aged 4 and above.
