Work to Resume on N-46 and US-136, Oxford North

Weather permitting, work is scheduled to resume on March 15,

north of Oxford on N-46, from Reference Post 7.96 to Reference Post 11.91, and on US-136,

east of Oxford, from Reference Post 10.16 to Reference Post 22.40, according to the Nebraska

Department of Transportation.

 

Vontz Paving, Inc. of Hastings, Nebraska has the $4,144,603 contract. Work includes bridge repair,

culvert installation, milling, asphalt overlay, guardrail replacement, and seeding. Lane closures will be

maintained with flaggers and temporary traffic signals. During the construction phase, there will be

12-foot width restriction for the bridge over Dry Creek in the Village of Oxford. Anticipated completion

is fall 2021.

 

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
