The Bison golfers had a very strong day yesterday at the Ogallala Invite. MHS shot a season-low score of 328 and a third-place finish. Bison coach Rick Haney said three players really turned the corner with their games and began to show what quality of play they can produce. Kade Gray placed fourth in the tough field of district teams by scoring a 75. Haney said Gray is a player is really showing his maturity and showing he is a player to watch as we enter the final stages of this season. Trevor Oberg had a stellar day by carding a 80 and finishing eighth in the individual standing standings. Hunter Hays was the third medalist for the Bison, carding a score of 81. Haney said through hard work this season Hunter has really began to gain control of his game. He is another that will be fun to watch as we enter the final parts of this season. Haney said Sidney again proved that they are a team to watch down the stretch. Scottsbluff again has managed to field a solid team this year and finished second a few strokes ahead of the Bison. The Bison head back to Ogallala for their district meet on Monday.
