The East evened the match at a set apiece by winning set two 25-23, and took the lead in the match with a 25-15 win in set three. The West would rally with a win in set four, 25-19. East Most Valuable Player Mollie Kaps of Bertrand set a new Sertoma record with 23 points, breaking the old mark of 17. Kaps also lead the East with eight kills. McCook’s Madi Garcia and Natalie Longnecker of Southwest combined for 153 assists in the match. Wauneta-Palisade’s Colby Cox was the West MVP. The McCook Community College basketball recruit set a new Sertoma record with 116 set assists. Paxton’s Emma Holz led the West with 11 kills. Teammate Madison Raska of North Platte was next with nine kills. Holz also had five blocks.
