The McCook Bison rallied from a five-stroke deficit on Tuesday to win the Class B state golf championship at Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln. After an opening round 311 on Tuesday, the Bison bounced back with a 308 on Wednesday and knocked off first-day leader Elkhorn Mt. Michael by eight strokes. MHS senior Noah Hofman became the first Class B golfer since John Hurley in 2004 and 2005 to repeat as Class B champion. Hofman shot rounds of 70 both days. Bison senior Riley Loop finished third with rounds of 73 and 76. The Bison golf program has won 10 Class B state titles, including two in the last three years.
