After scoring just six points on Friday, the Chase County girls track team came alive on Saturday, scoring 47.5 points and edged Class C defending champion Crofton by a half-point, 53.5-50. Gold medal champions for Chase County included Katelyn Wheeler in the high jump (5’4) and the 1600 meter relay team of Taylor Williams, Taylin McNair, Kadyn Milner, and Destiny Reinke won with a time of 4:05.13. Reinke also finished third in the 800 meters (2:21.82) and second in the 1600 meters (5:19.05). Josie Petersen finished in a tie for third in the pole vault (10’0). The 400 meter relay team of Taylor Williams, Taylin McNair, Wheeler and Adelaide Maxwell were second with a time of 50.21 and the 3200 meter relay team of McNair, Reinke, Williams and Kadyn Milner finished third with a time of 9:48.49. Bishop Neumann won the Class B boys division with 70. Chase County scored 10. Cody Williams was fifth in the high jump with a leap of 6’3 and Destyn Milner finished third in the 110 high hurdles with a time 15.15.
